YOUTH BASKETBALL PROGRAMS IN SINGAPORE

BASKETBALL PROGRAMS

Every TDJ program is built around one standard — structured coaching, capped groups, and real progression. From first-time players to competitive athletes, we help each athlete train at the right level and understand what comes next.

01 / AGES 5 - 8

MINI HOOPERS

  • Mini Hoopers is for young athletes aged 5–8 who are new to basketball or still building confidence in a structured group setting. It is designed for children who need the right balance of fun, movement, and foundational coaching before moving into more advanced basketball training.

  • Athletes work on movement, coordination, balance, hand-eye coordination, listening habits, and confidence, while learning the basics of basketball. This includes introductory dribbling, passing, shooting, footwork, and teamwork in a fun, age-appropriate environment.

  • When athletes are ready for more structured skill development, they progress into Youth Development. This is where training becomes more technical and athletes begin building stronger basketball fundamentals, game understanding, and long-term training habits.

02 / AGES 9 - 18

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

  • Youth Development is for athletes aged 9–18 who want structured basketball training in Singapore. It is suitable for players who are still building their foundation, as well as athletes who need consistent coaching, clearer progression, and a stronger overall training environment.

  • Athletes work on core basketball fundamentals including footwork, ball-handling, shooting, finishing, defense, and passing, while also improving basketball IQ, confidence, decision-making, and training habits. The goal is to help every athlete build a strong technical base and become more game-ready over time.

  • Athletes who show stronger consistency, coachability, and readiness for higher-level training may progress into the Competitive Program. This is where the focus shifts more toward team training, competitive habits, and preparation for school teams and Singapore competitions.

03 / AGES 9 - 18 / PLACEMENT BASED

competitive program

  • The Competitive Program is for athletes aged 9–18 who are ready for the next level of development. It is a placement-based program for players who are ready for higher standards, more accountability, and a more competitive training environment.

  • Athletes work on team training, game understanding, decision-making, competitive confidence, and stronger basketball habits. Training is designed to help players perform better in game situations while developing the discipline, mindset, and standards needed for more serious competition.

  • The Competitive Program helps athletes prepare for school teams and Singapore competitions. Athletes who continue to show strong readiness, consistency, and long-term potential may also be considered for TDJ Elite and later TDJ Elite Global.

04 / AGES 9 - 18 / SELECTION BASED

tdj elite / tdj elite global

  • TDJ Elite and TDJ Elite Global are for selected athletes aged 9–25 who are ready for opportunities beyond regular weekly training. TDJ Elite is for Singapore-based athletes selected from the TDJ pathway, while TDJ Elite Global brings together selected TDJ athletes and overseas athletes for higher-level exposure opportunities.

  • Athletes work within a higher-level environment focused on accountability, exposure readiness, elite training standards, and preparation for overseas opportunities. Depending on the opportunity, athletes may be involved in U.S. trips, camps, exposure events, mentorship, and pathway guidance connected to college or pro ambitions.

  • TDJ Elite and TDJ Elite Global lead toward overseas exposure, international training experiences, and college/pro pathway education. These groups are designed to help athletes access broader opportunities, stronger competition environments, and clearer next steps beyond the local basketball scene.
